Sunday, May 28, 2006 ::: 10 MILES FROM YOU It took me some 2 hours to fall asleep last night Coughed non stop... like every 5 minutes. I tried to hold it in... 'don't cough, don't cough, just don't... leave that for tomorrow...' but no, just like some sort of explosion I had to take a deep breath and let the huge wave of air out. I guess it's an involuntary reflex afterall. You just can't suppress it. And I just wanted a good sleep. I gave in. Was hungry anyway, so I had a cup noodle. And cold chocolate milk. I know, the heat and the cold... I just didn't care anymore, maybe it'd do me good, maybe it wouldn't, but heck how much worse could it get? I couldn't sleep anyway. And I did take 2 spoonful of cough syrup. When was my last time taking that? I have no idea. I fell asleep finally. Not willing to wake up for church. Lunch, afternoon nap, and evening church. Dad's sitting with me but only like a mile apart - but I understand him, he didn't want to get the cold, it was weird but I totally understand - I wouldn't want him to catch the cold from me, and if I were him I'd probably do the same. Sometimes I can read my dad's mind because I think just like the same. It's a bit like we're programmed the same way. The way our minds work. 10 miles from you. 10 miles from everything. I had a vision today at church. I coughed a little less. Could it be suppressed, afterall? Like an itch you refrain from scratching It still itches, it heals. So should I just stop scratching so it can heal? Is it the healing that matters or the temporary alleviation that matters? At this point, I'm lost. The whole 'scratch' metaphor is a little far fetched, but it's an excellent one when I come to think of it. 10 miles from you, 10 miles from everything just 1 scratch away. ::: posted by Wings at 5/28/2006 06:30:00 AM
